Isaac is a fictional character from the Edmund McMillen-written video game series The Binding of Isaac. Five-year-old Isaac resides with his mother in a modest home on a hill with his family. She hears a voice from above one day and obeys its commands, including its final one to sacrifice her kid, Isaac, since she thinks the voice is a higher being, most likely Jesus or God. Isaac tries to escape after seeing a trap door to the basement hidden under the rug when she is getting ready to sacrifice him. When his mother bursts through his door into the uncharted depths below, he immediately jumps to the ground.
