The Taika is a musical instrument of the Kitsune tribe. It can manipulate sound and make it play an original tune at will. The Taika is also known as “Toki Momen”(“土明皇”? meaning “Earth-Shining Emperors”) because they can move the earth by making sounds that resonate in the ground and send vibrations all the way up to the sky. There were once eight Taika's, but one was destroyed in an accident. Now there are only seven left and they hide from human eyes to prevent them from taking them away again. In this game, you will control a Taika and you need to find hidden places, unlock new sounds, solve puzzles and defeat your enemies in order to protect your home.

Taiko Drum Master is a rhythm game developed by Japanese company Level-5, with the music and art direction by Japanese video game composer Yumi Kikuchi. The game is loosely based on the story of Taiko no Tatsujin, but instead of becoming a master musician like its original counterpart, it centers around a new character named Taiko who wants to become a great drum player. The game was released in October 2018 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox.

In this game, you must keep your drumsticks together while playing the Taiko Drum Master. You can play the Taiko drum in many different ways with different songs and beats. The goal of each level is to reach a high score by hitting as many drums as you can with your drumsticks. If you get hit it is game over! There are five different worlds with more than 30 levels, 10 characters, and 10 songs in total.
